Berkeley Multimedia and Graphics Seminar
(CS 298-5 Spring 1996)
Wednesdays 12.30 PM - 2.00 PM PST Fujitsu Seminar Room (405 Soda Hall)
This weekly seminar series includes speakers from UC Berkeley and
elsewhere on advanced topics in multimedia and graphics.
The seminar is broadcast on the
Internet MBONE.
The broadcast will begin at 12:40 PST (GMT - 8 hrs).
Detailed instructions for setting up and running the MBONE tools for EECS
students at Berkeley are available
here.
For PC users on the Internet, the freely distributed Mbone tools have been
ported to Windows/95 and Windows NT. The current release is really just beta
code, but you're welcome to try it. See the
Microsoft BARC Telepresence Group page.
A commercial product has also been recently released by Precept Software.
They have a limited use trial distribution that you can get at their
web site.
